About the Academy
Academy aims to introduce younger badminton players to a level of competative play to which they would be able to sucessfully compete in and develop their abilites from.
Playing via the Stevenage Badminton League format allows the individual youngster to always compete alongside an adult chosen to balance with the strengths of the opposing side and just as importantly to encourage the youngster in their play.
Academy is not all about coaching the individual as we are not all coaches, however as a youngster takes on playing matches the opposition soon illustrate what that particular indivdual's weaknesses of play happen to be. And as clearly illustrated by last seasons youngsters, they soon develop their own way of turning these weaknesses around.
This season we have new qualified coach members to offer their services as well as the official Badminton England technique DVD explaining all the correct grip and shot executions which is loanable to all Academy members.
Academy makes its mark!
