Our Young Players

Christopher Otyehel.Christopher Otyehel at his medal presentation.

Chris is one of the more experienced youngsters having first hand knowledge of the difficulties young players experience in trying to get into clubs the more conventional way.

As a strong individual player, dependant on the oppositions strength he quite often takes on the Adult partner role.

Megan.Megan receiving her medal. Megan being Academys only young female player had an exceptional year having improved tremendously.

Megan being no stranger to end of year tournaments and having attended Stevenage Centre of Badminton Excellence (SCOBE) coaching sessions has seen her rewarded by clubs taking her in as a full member, such as Redhoods and Feathers.

Nick.Nick is also a member of SCOBE where his coaching takes place.

Nick has also come on well in his first year with Academy showing great determination to fight for every point and greater intelligence in the placing of his shots.

Nick now also plays for Feathers Badminton Club.

Craig Nash.Craig shown here receiving his medal.

Althougth Craig has not had as much of an opportunity to play as some of the other younger players, he has shown good competant skills and like most young players needs to develop his consistancy of play which only comes with practice.

Appreciative thanks go out to Joeseph Caine who due to prior commitments could only play the odd match, a good first time out performance I may add.

Also to Dave Leslie and his strong supportive role in the matches he played.
